This program is offered through the generous support of local companies and individuals who recognize the value of helping people in our community to elevate themselves and their employment opportunities by obtaining their high school diplomas.

RPL’s Adult Online High School (AOHS) provides a diploma from an AdvancED/SACS/NCA/NWAC accredited, private school that is recognized as a VALID HS diploma by the Illinois Community College System and the federal government. The curriculum used by AOHS also has a CEEB (federal college board number) that is utilized by all of our graduates to procure federal aid (Title IV) from the federal government. It is important to note that MOST Illinois community colleges have their own set of admissions guidelines (i.e., college entrance exam, pre-requisite course requirements, SAT/ACT requirements) that might preclude one of our graduates from being accepted into the community college. However, AOHS’ AdvancED/SACS/NCA/NWAC accredited high school diploma is considered a VALID HS diploma at the state (Illinois) & federal level.

Rockford Public Library awards a limited amount of scholarships to qualified adult learners and is currently seeking applicants! If you are interested in being considered please email us at:
