To take advantage of all the Rockford Public Library has to offer, you’ll need a user ID and PIN (Personal Identification Number). With your library card number and PIN, you can log in to your personal account to place holds, renew items and to change your PIN. It will also give you access to some of the Library’s digital media, such as cloudLibrary eBooks, Freegal music downloads, and research databases.

WHAT IS MY USER ID?
Your user ID is your library card number. It’s the fourteen‐digit number on the back of your library card beginning 21112.

WHAT IS MY PIN?
Your PIN is a number that you chose when you signed up for your library card.

HOW DO I RESET MY PIN IF I FORGOT IT.
If the library has your current email address on file, go to the Reset PIN page and enter your User ID to receive an email with a link in it that will allow you to reset your library PIN right away. Be sure to check your email within a few minutes of selecting Reset PIN, as the reset link will expire. If you do not see the email, please check your junk or spam folders. You can also use RPL’s Mobile App to reset your PIN. Contact library staff at 815-965-7606 or for further assistance.
