Warrior Princess. This is what her father calls Nigeria Jones. Her father is a part of the Movement, which is a radical Black separatist group. After the disappearance of her mother, Nigeria is left taking care of her baby brother, Freedom, and with plenty of questions that she never for the chance to ask. Raised under strict guidelines, Nigeria’s questions and attendance at the Quaker school her mother wanted her to attend gain her father’s disapproval. Through her experiences she learns how to expand her universe as well as what role she wants to have in it.
