Life as Ossie Brown knew it ended as soon as he tore his ACL. Now he has to learn how to re-navigate his rich, mostly white high school, as a Black teen who doesn’t have the wealth or the privilege and can’t participate in the athletics he’s known his whole life. It’s not until a Black teacher recommends a writing program to him that he begins to find his footing again. When a video goes viral criticizing the writing program, he has to figure out how to keep his footing and fight for what is right.
