Library cardholders can now renew DVDS
Rockford Public Library is excited to announce that patrons can now renew DVDs. Library cardholders may renew a DVD once if it is not on hold for another patron. DVDs are checked out for seven days. A renewal will extend the loan period for an additional seven days. A $1.00 fine is still charged per day for each DVD returned late. DVDs can be renewed at the Main Library or any branch location, via telephone through our automated renewal line at (815) 965-9511 or online through the Catalog. A Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required to access an account online.
“We received feedback from our customers requesting RPL allow DVDs to be renewed,” said, Erope Beckum, Circulation Services Manager of Rockford Public Library. “We made this change to accommodate the popular request, while also providing easier access (via phone or Internet) to extend the loan period.”
