“We are thrilled to be able to open our doors and welcome Rockford to their newest library,” said Frank Novak, Executive Director of Rockford Public Library. “We anticipate very high usage of the East Branch because of the fantastic amenities, great location and increased interest in library services.”
Rockford Public Library, like libraries across the nation, has seen an increase in usage as the economy forces people to look for ways to cut costs.
“People are discovering the library as a source for their family entertainment,” elaborates Fay Muhammad, Assistant Director of Rockford Public Library. “We offer the latest movies, music, books, free access to technology and training, and of course, the best free programming in the community for all ages.”
