Rockford Public Main Library Closed During On the Waterfront Festival and Labor Day
The Main Library, 215 N. Wyman St. will be closed Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1 during the On the Waterfront Festival and Labor Day. Customers are encouraged to use the branch libraries this holiday weekend. Branch libraries will be open regular hours Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., but closed Labor Day. Branches are regularly closed on Sundays.
Main Library fall and winter hours will begin Sunday, September 7:
Monday – Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Friday & Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

The Rockford Public Library, founded in 1872 as the second library in Illinois, currently has six facilities, including the Main Library and five Branch Libraries.
