Friends of Rockford Public Library Holds Fall Book Sale October 20 - 21
The Friends of Rockford Public Library will hold their annual fall book sale on Friday and Saturday, October 20 – 21, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium, 215 N. Wyman St. A special preview sale for members of the Friends of Rockford Public Library will be held Thursday, October 19, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Friends membership may be purchased at the door for $5.00.
The Fall Book Sale will include fiction and non-fiction, paperback and hardcover, magazines, videos, records, and a large selection of books on various subjects. Book prices range from $0.25 to $1.00. Better books including those in sets, will be priced higher, but affordable. Money raised from the sale will go toward purchasing special equipment and materials that support Rockford Public Library's programs and services.

About the Friends of Rockford Public Library
The Friends have given the library over $400,000 since their foundation in 1976. Most of the books sold in the Used Book Sales are either titles weeded from the Library’s collection or donated to the group. The Friends, a dedicated group of volunteers from the community, are celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year.
