Part of the One Book, One Rockford showcase, this event will take place at Cliffbreakers, where participants will get a tour of the kitchen, and then adjourn to a meeting room to participate in a panel discussion about the many faceted career choices in the culinary field. The panel will feature a local chef from Cliffbreakers Convention Center; Paul Sletten from Brio, a local restaurant owner; Mike Zema a culinary instructor from Elgin Community College; and Rebecca Cook, a student from Elgin Community College Culinary Arts program. For ages 13-18. Registration is required.

Join Rockford Public Library as we welcome Anthony Bourdain to Rockford. Bourdain will speak about his book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly. This free lecture will be followed by a book signing. A maximum of 5 tickets may be reserved online at www.rockfordpubliclibrary.org/events. NOTE: Tickets will be available for pick up starting March 1st. All tickets must be picked up at the Main Library, 215 N.
