Rockford Public Library Opens Registration for Anthony Bourdain’s Visit to Rockford
Library accepting reservations for One Book, One Rockford author lecture
Rockford Public Library today opened up registrations for the 2007 One Book, One Rockford author lecture featuring renowned chef, television host and author, Anthony Bourdain. Bourdain will visit Rockford on May 18th and 19th, 2007 as part of the One Book, One Rockford program featuring his book, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly.
On Friday May 18th, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Rockford Theater at the Rockford Woman’s Club, Bourdain will delight audiences with anecdotes from his own personal experiences as a chef. This event is free and open to the public and will be followed by a book signing. A maximum of 5 tickets may be reserved online at www.rockfordpubliclibrary.org. For parties of 6 or more, please call (815) 987-6609 for group tickets. Tickets reserved online will be available for pick up starting March 1st. All tickets must be picked up at the Main Library, 215 N. Wyman St., by noon on Friday, May 18th or at the door of the Rockford Theater at the Rockford Women's Club between 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. the night of the program. All unclaimed tickets will be made available to the public.
On May 19th, from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., the Rockford Public Library Foundation will host a fundraiser at Rockford Country Club featuring Anthony Bourdain. He will share his global adventures in extreme cuisines and delight all potential gastro-tourists with his tales of the strange and fabulous meals he has eaten all over the world.
