Friends Host Children's Book Sidewalk Sale
Children’s Books for $.10 on Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Friends of Rockford Public Library will host a Summer Sidewalk Book Sale on Saturday, August 13st from 10:00 a.m.– 2:00 p.m. in front of the Main Library at 215 N. Wyman St. Most titles, including children’s books, fiction, non-fiction and paperbacks, will be available for just $.10 each. A special collection of children’s books will also be available.
“We have an overstock of wonderful books and we thought it would be fun to host a sidewalk sale before school starts,” said Jan Cooper, Book Shop Manager for the Friends of RPL. “Our volunteers love these events because books find new homes and we raise needed funds for the library at the same time.”
All proceeds from the sale benefit the Friends of Rockford Public Library. The group grants thousands of dollars annually to the library to support programs and services.
