Library’s April 10th “After Hours Book Discussion” Rescheduled

Rockford Public Library’s After Hours Book Discussion scheduled for April 10, 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Montague Branch, 1238 S. Winnebago St. has been cancelled. The Library will be closed this day for Good Friday. The book discussion featuring Midnight: A Gangster Love Story by Sister Souljah has been rescheduled for Friday, April 17 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Montague Branch in the Connie Lane Room.

Midnight: A Gangster Love Story, the follow-up to Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Souljah, is another gritty coming-of-age tale, picking up the story of Midnight (a character in Coldest Winter) as he tries desperately to navigate American culture, Brooklyn streets and the dicey business of growing up. The novel begins as seven-year-old Midnight and his pregnant mother are forced to leave their privileged life in Sudan.

This program is free and open to the public.  For more information, please visit our events calendar online at www.rockfordpubliclibrary/events.
