The Friends of Rockford Public Library
is a non-profit organization open to all
members of the community. The Friends provide
support, coordinate public book sales, operate the Friends
Bookstore and advocate for your library. They help the library
achieve its mission to serve our diverse Rockford community.
Some members support the Friends simply
by paying their annual dues, while others
become more involved by donating their
time. However they choose to participate,
they’re a valuable part of our Friends
Our Friends benefit, too! Membership includes:
free subscription to the Friends’ quarterly
- Advance notice of special
- Invitations to members-only book sales
- The chance to become a Library volunteer
In 2006, the Friends of Rockford Public
Library celebrated their 30th Anniversary
and RPL is lucky to have such a dedicated
Friends group. As RPL grows and improves,
so does our need for Friends!
The Friends of Rockford Public Library is currently accepting applications for its $2,000 scholarship. To download the 2012 scholarship application and letter click below.
