One $1000 scholarship will be awarded. Applications are available in Rockford area high school counseling offices, and completed applications are to be returned to the counseling office by the deadline.
Who Qualifies
High school senior in the Rockford area, planning to attend a four-year college or university starting in the Fall 2013. Must have minimum of a 3.25 GPA and show active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
Requirements
Candidates are asked to conceptualize and execute a project or idea that will improve their environment or community. The student's role in carrying out the idea will be heavily considered, and the award will be based on which idea is determined to have had the biggest positive effect.
