Description
The scholarship will be awarded to a full time student in the College of Education, specifically elementary education, or a high school senior planning on teaching in elementary education. The scholarship amount will be determined annually; the average is $2,000. All applications, with supporting materials, much be received by the deadline in the office of the Regional Superintendent. Please write Attention: Blanche J. Martin Scholarship on the envelope. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 15, 2013. Applications are available in the Regional Office of Education, and questions can be directed to Tom McCullough, the Office Manager.
Who Qualifies
Applicant must be a student in a state approved teacher certification program or a high school senior planning on teaching in elementary education. Students may be attending any college or university in the United States. Applicants must live in Winnebago County, and must have and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Requirements
If, for any reason, the recipient does not conform to any or all policies, the scholarship committee has the right to revoke the scholarship.
