Description
The Luther Primm Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2010 in honor of the distinguised service of Mr. Luther Primm, 33rd Degree Mason of Welcome Star Lodge #36 Free & Accepted Masons-Prince Hall Affiliation, in memory of his dedication and service to his family, community and education. Five $500 scholarships will be awarded in July. Applications will be available at every high school in Rockford, Illinois.
Who Qualifies
A minority male graduating from a Rockford high school - June 2013, GPA of 2.5 or higher, and approved by the committee of Welcome Star Lodge #36.
Requirements
Students will be selected based on an approved application, including a 250 word essay, three letters of recommendation, and an official/unofficial transcript. A signed letter of intent for college will be accepted but is not a requirement.
