Description   
The Northern Illinois Bowling Foundation has awarded $1.2 million in scholarships since 1990. The criteria used to determine the amount of any scholarship are as follows: 30% Scholastic, 40% Bowling ability, 30% Bowl for Kids Sake participation.

Applications & information are available in www.thecherrybowlonline.com/scholarship_application.htm. Applications must be mailed to the contact indicated below, to be received by the deadline. They are NOT to be dropped off at bowling centers.



Who Qualifies  
Graduating senior who has participated in and is currently participating in a sanctioned Youth or IHSA High School Bowling program originating out of one of the following bowling centers: B&B Park Bowl, The Cherry Bowl, Don Carter Lanes, Forest Hills Lanes, Town and Country Lanes, Plum Hollow Lanes, Viking Lanes, 4 Seasons, or T/Byrd Lanes. The scholarship awards are not based on need.

Requirements  
There are several requirements, including a 2.5 (of 4) or more grade level. See the website for details and for the necessary paperwork to be submitted along with the application. Participation in Bowl for Kids Sake is a major consideration in determining awards.
