Description
The Illinois Sheriffs' Association offers college scholarships throughout the state to students wanting to pursue higher education. A $500 scholarship will be awarded by Winnebago County. For information or to apply, visit the Sheriff's Office, 650 W. State St., Rockford, or il-sheriff.org. Information is also available in high school advising centers and college financial aid offices.
Who Qualifies
The applicant must be a permanent llinois resident, enrolled full-time at a certified institution of higher learning in Illinois.
Requirements
The scholarships can be be applied to tuition, books and fees only.
