Description
This $1000 grant will be awarded to a female undergraduate or graduate college or university student who is working on a special education endorsement.
Who Qualifies
Must have graduated from a high school in Boone or Winnebago County in the state of Illinois prior to pursuing their college studies, OR currently be teaching in Boone or Winnebago County. The application must be accompanied by an essay, an official college/university transcript, college/university verification of enrollment in special education, and two letters of recommendation.
Requirements
Upon receipt of verification of registration at the college or university of their choice, the chapter will mail a check to the college for half the amount of the grant. When the winner sends proof of registration for second semester, a check for the other half will be sent to the college at the beginning of second semester.
