Rockford Network of Professional Women, formed in 1981, is a group of women who join forces in support of other women in civic, professional and personal pursuits. Rockford Network will offer two $2,250 educational scholarships in 2013. Information is available in www.rockfordnetwork.biz/scholarship.html. Scholarships must be used for coursework toward a degreed program. Finalists qualifying for an interview will be notified by May 1, 2013. Scholarships will be awarded in June.
Who Qualifies
Applicants need to be 23 years of age or older, living in the Greater Rockford area, and wishing to enrich their professional lives. They may be members of Rockford Network of Professional Women, but that is not a requirement.
Requirements
Criteria includes financial need, demonstrated leadership, long-term career goals, previous work experience and/or community involvement, quality & completeness of application, essay and references.
