The Rockford Public Library community information webpage is a
resource for locating information about organizations and businesses
that serve the Rockford area. Non-profit, private or government
entities wishing to establish a presence on the RPL community website
may either provide a link to their website or apply for a simple
webpage hosted by RPL.
Participating organizations:
- Must apply annually.
- Are responsible for their content and
must maintain current information.
- May not engage in e-commerce
on RPL’s site.
- May not sell access to their information
nor sell access to space on the RPL server.
- May not represent
short-term issues such as elections or referenda, even if those
websites are strictly informational.
- May not contain political
content in violation of the State of Illinois Election Code
(10 ILCS 5/9-25.1).
RPL does not endorse the content of organizational websites that
provide information on this site nor their policies or products.
As an organization serving audiences of all ages, RPL reserves
the right of refusal as well as the right to edit and categorize
any and all content on the community website.
